Analysing 2 School Newsletters

This newsletter looks professional in design because of a lot of the semiotics used throughout. Such as the gradient colour from blue to white, the small font which makes it look more formal than using different style fonts or sizes. The blue stands as a neutral colour and the yellow used are polar oppisites which suit each other. Ways to improve this could be that the amount of text used is overwhelming so that cutting down the text or using some more images could help this.

This newsletter however looks very unprofessional as it uses a basic software package and the 'Comic Sans' font which now is simplistic and overused as it is portrayed as childish. The colours used a very basic with no professional design to them. Despite this the layout is good, better than the previous example. Ways to improve is to overhaul the colour sceme and text type used in this newsletter to make it look a lot more professional and suited for a school.
